  Price  $6.95

  Credits  1.5

In response to the current need for rapidly increasing COVID-19 vaccinations in the US, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has expanded the pool of COVID-19 vaccinators. In addition to physicians and nurses, the DHHS expanded COVID-19 vaccine authority to include pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and pharmacy technicians nationwide. The DHHS also issued a guidance under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act) which authorizes qualified pharmacy technicians acting under the supervision of a pharmacist to administer childhood vaccines recommended by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and approved or licensed by the FDA, to children 3 to 18 years old during the COVID-19 pandemic, regardless of state laws.
