Format
During this webinar, participants will learn about common vaccine preventable illnesses (VPI) including human papillomavirus, viral hepatitis A, viral hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type B, meningococcal disease, rotavirus, and varicella. A general overview of each VPI will review the cause, symptoms, complications, and treatment. Participants will also learn about the vaccine to prevent each VPI including the patient population recommended to receive the vaccine, vaccine schedule, route of administration and common adverse effects. This webinar is a continuation of the information provided in PharmCon’s Pharmacy Technician Enhanced Training – Immunization Module 1: Diseases and Vaccines and is appropriate for all technician learners regardless of whether they have completed Module 1.
