New Drugs of 2021 – Nurse Practitioner
In 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved 50 novel drugs along with approvals for the use of approved drugs for new indications and patient populations. Twenty-seven of the 50 novel drugs approved in 2021 were the first in their class. These first-in-class drugs bring new treatments to conditions like Alzheimer’s Disease, vulvovaginal candidiasis, eczema, chronic kidney disease, and several autoimmune diseases.
